Delivery and achievement of the public assembly facility's objectives depends on a solid facility maintenance and operation services departments. Regardless of the type, size, ownership, or number of events, common operations and engineering services activities must occur in order for the public assembly facility to function in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Facility services and operations are generally responsible for the facilities phyisical environment that includes its state of repair, cleanliness, air quality, the logistical delivery of event production requirements, and the overlapping life safety and security control of the buildings (Graham & Ward, 2006).
