Spot-checks/Spot-checkers: Spot-checks refer to the practice of hiring trained personnel to dress as and blend in with typical event attendees to ensure the integrity and legality of the behavior of regular staff. This person, the spot-checker, is responsible for notifying the employer of any profit-skimming recognized through surveillance of the admission personnel, concessionary or ticket staff and any other person representing the employer’s organization.

*The employer should notify employees that they use spot-checks, but not the specifics of dates, times or locations.
