You couldn’t have said it better: It’s who you know as oppose to what you know, when it comes to job placement in sports and entertainment for event management. I’ve met a lot of people who have great jobs because of who they met at a function or event, with little or no work experience. I think it’s very important to develop networking skills and always stay current in the industry you plan on working in.
